The North West Counties Football League have today released our July and August fixtures for the 2025/26 First Division North season.
On the back of a disappointing 15th placed finish in the last campaign, manager Roy Mason and his side will be looking to turn their fortunes around as another new season is on the horizon.
And the season opens at home for the first time since 2021 as we welcome newly promoted Fulwood Amateurs to Marley Stadium on Saturday 26th July.
Fulwood join the division for the first time after earning promotion to Step 6 on the back of a 4th placed finish in the West Lancashire League last time out.
The following week, August begins with another home fixture on Saturday 2nd August as Ashton Town pay a visit to Marley.
The spoils were shared in this fixture last season, Steeton rescuing a point with an 89th minute equaliser.
This is followed by three consecutive away fixtures across both league and cup.
Saturday 9th August sees the Chevvies make their longest away journey of the season as they head north to Cumbria to face Holker Old Boys at the Handmark Engineering Stadium.
Our previous visit in February of this year saw Mason and his side fall to a comfortable defeat in challenging conditions.
Then, on Saturday 16th August, we head to the Fylde Coast where Thornton Cleveleys provide the opposition.
Owen Williamson’s strike sent the boys home with all three points on their only previous visit to Gamble Road on Bank Holiday weekend last August.
A welcome early break from league action comes on Saturday 23rd August as we face Park View of the Northern League Division Two in the First Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Vase.
The trip to Chester-le-Street being the first step on this season’s road to Wembley.
We then bring the curtain down on the season’s opening month on Saturday 30th August as we return to both Marley and the First Division North with the visit of Maghull.
Steeton looking to avenge the 6-1 home loss to the Merseyside outfit at Marley in October of last year.
All fixtures are subject to change.
