Pre-Season Schedule Confirmed

STEETON can today announce our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Chevrons will open their friendly campaign with the visit of Eccleshill United to Marley Stadium.

This will be the second summer in a row that ‘Eccy’ have visited Marley for the pre-season opener after they defeated the Chevrons on the first weekend of July last year.

Following the Eagles controversial decision to relocate 11 miles to our former home of Cougar Park, this fixture now proves somewhat of a Keighley derby.

This fixture will be played on Saturday 5th July with a 2pm kick-off.

We follow with another Bradford derby with our traditional friendly meeting with Campion.

Friends both on and off the pitch, the two clubs are more than familiar with each other.

In fact, we met competitively last season with the Manningham based side defeat the Chevrons with an injury-time winner in the West Riding County Cup.

This fixture will be played on Tuesday 8th July with a 7:45pm kick-off.

Our final of three consecutive home fixtures sees a visit from Nostell Miners Welfare.

Fresh off narrowly avoiding relegation from NCEL Division One last season, this proves the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

This fixture will be played on Saturday 12th July with a 3pm kick-off.

The second midweek sees Roy Mason take his side for their toughest test of pre-season against Liversedge.

‘Sedge’ was relegated from the Northern Premier League Division One East last campaign but have invested heavily in the squad following the appointment of Danny Forrest as manager as they look for an immediate return to Step 4.

The last meeting between the clubs saw the then Step 3 Liversedge condemn Steeton to penalty shootout heartbreak in a pulsating West Riding County Cup tie during the 2022/23 season.

Our first ever visit to the Leading Edge Clayborn Ground takes place on Tuesday 15th July with a 7:45pm kick-off.

We then bring the curtain down on pre-season with the traditional Archie Airdrie Trophy fixture against Ilkley Town.

This is the second consecutive season that Sam Dexter and his Bah’tatters visit Marley to compete in this fixture.

In fact, Ilkley are the defending Champions as a 1-0 victory last summer allowed them to take the trophy back across the moors to the MPM Stadium.

This fixture kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 19th July.

There will then be a fortnight’s break ahead of the beginning of the NWCFL Division One North season on Saturday 2nd August.
