STEETON can today announce Alfie Dowden has won the Martinez Wines Player of the Month award for August.
A summer arrival from Oxenhope, ‘Dids’ has impressed in his first month with the club with a number of standout performances whether that be at left-back or further forward on the left of midfield.
Alfie’s stats for August saw him pick up three Man of the Match awards whilst registering two assists in his eight appearances.
The standout performance no doubt being his tireless effort in our victory away at Squires Gate in which he earned the plaudits of all those in attendance from both sides.
The Martinez Wines Player of the Month award is exclusively voted for by Club Chevron members.
There were 17 votes cast, with the final results seeing 9 votes for Alfie with 8 votes for Josh Coe.
