STEETON are today delighted to announce our first two new signings ahead of the 2026/27 First Division North season.
Christian Asamoah and Yianni Abbas have both arrived at Marley Stadium following their respective departures from Bradford Park Avenue.
Asamoah is a defender who can operate down both channels as either a right-back or left-back.
Similar to new teammate Macca Smith, he can also offer an attacking threat as well as a defensive one as shown by his catalogue of goals scored during his time at the Horsfall Stadium.
A member of both Avenue’s youth and reserves sides over the past two seasons, Christian has previous Step 6 experience in NCEL Division One with Nostell Miners Welfare.
Abbas is an attacking midfielder with a creative flair and eye for goal.
A key member of Avenue’s promotion winning reserves side last season, Yianni comes highly recommended from the Horsfall Stadium where he also made his first-team debut last season.
He also brings experience at both Step 5 with Thackley and Step 6 with Armthorpe Welfare and South Leeds.
