FOLLOWING the return to pre-season ahead of the 2026/27 season, Steeton AFC can today confirm the list of players who have departed the club.
The below list of players is those who concluded the 2025/26 season with the club but have either moved on to another club, retired, or not been retained by manager Roy Mason.
Josh Debenham – The 2024/25 season golden boot winner only made two appearances during the last campaign in what proved to be a disjointed year for Josh.
The striker has opted to take some time away from football.
Joe Edmonds – Arriving from Ilkley Town midway through the campaign, the midfielder contributed one goal and four assists in his 14 appearances.
Joe has signed with Leeds UCFA in NCEL Division One.
Seth Edwards – Joining ahead of the start of the season, Seth made five substitution appearances for the club.
Seth has signed with Leeds UCFA in NCEL Division One.
Lewis Gartland – Steeton’s Player of the Year for 2025/26 has made the decision to re-unite with former Assistant Manager Jacob Mistry at Ilkley Town in NCEL Division One.
Lewis departs with 9 goals and 8 assists in 57 appearances during his two seasons at Marley.
Jacob Holgate – The midfielder brings an end to his second spell at Marley having made a total of 54 appearances, scoring four goals, during this stint.
Jacob has signed with Barnoldswick Town in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Rahym Khan – The midfielder joined in September 2025 and made 14 appearances.
Rahym has signed with newly promoted Step 6 outfit Field Olympic in the NCEL First Division.
Aidan Kirby – Last season’s golden boot winner with 11 goals, the veteran striker has made the decision to retire from football following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
Harley Lawton – The attacking midfielder joined towards the back end of the season and scored one goal in four appearances.
Harley has moved on to Barnoldswick Town in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Alex Moloney – A mid-season arrival, the midfielder contributed 2 assists in his 17 appearances for the club.
Alex has been released by the club.
Menny Rose – A late arrival for the season’s run-in, Rose made four substitute appearances.
Menny has been released by the club.
Nathan Strong – The versatile player made 12 appearances following his arrival mid-season.
Nathan has been released by the club.
Freddie Westfall – The defender, who has spent the past three seasons on dual-registration terms from Guiseley, only made one appearance during 2025/26 after returning from injury.
Freddie has since moved to the USA to take up a College soccer scholarship in the states with Union University.
