THE draws for the early stages of this season’s league cup competitions have been made this afternoon.
As is tradition, the draws were made during the North West Counties Football League’s annual AGM held in Blackpool in which club treasurer and matchday secretary Matt Tanner represented the Chevvies.
The Macron Cup draw has seen Steeton handed a HOME tie against Nelson at Marley Stadium.
Nelson are long time opposition for the Chevrons but this will be our only meeting this coming season following the Admirals promotion last season to the NWCFL Premier Division as Champions of the First Division North.
The draws were also made for both the Preliminary Round and First Round of this season’s Edward Case First Division Challenge Cup.
As a result of our league finish in 2025/26, Steeton will again enter at the Preliminary Round stage.
We have been drawn at HOME to AFC Knowsley, newly promoted to the league following their top five finish in last season’s Cheshire League.
The winner of that tie will progress to the First Round where they will be AWAY to Squires Gate.
Details for both of these ties will be both confirmed and announced in due course.
