Brad Emmerson To Remain A Chevvie

STEETON are today delighted to announce the permanent signing of Brad Emmerson.

The goalkeeper, who arrived in October of last year on dual-registration from Campion, has made his move to Marley Stadium a permanent one for the forthcoming campaign.

Despite receiving plenty of interest from elsewhere ahead of the 2025/26 season, ‘Emmo’ has committed his future to the Chevrons to the delight of teammates, supporters, and manager Roy Mason, alike.

Becoming a mainstay in the side following his debut in the 1-0 home victory over Ashton Athletic, Brad made the number one shirt is own as he recorded three clean sheets across 19 appearances in 2024/25.

The standout moment of Brad’s form coming on Boxing Day as his superb penalty save proved the catalyst for Steeton to record their first ever victory in the final Marley Derby against Route One Rovers.

And his performances were further rewarded with five Man of the Match awards and three Club Chevron Player of the Month awards.

This was backed up over the Easter weekend as supporters of the club voted Emmerson the inaugural Club Chevron Player of the Season in a landslide vote.

The love has not stopped there however with “SUPER BRAD EMMO IN GOAL!” ringing throughout grounds both home and away from the Chevvies faithful.

Speaking of his decision to sign permanently with the club, Brad simply put it: “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

Prior to arriving at Marley, following spells with both Albion Sports and Eccleshill United, Emmerson was a part of the 2023 double winning squad at Campion.

He will now be looking to recreate that success three season later in a different part of the Bradford district.
