STEETON are this evening delighted to announce the return of Josh Walne.
‘Walney’ signs following his release from Nelson, where he spent ten months after initially joining them in January of this year from Steeton.
Prior to his move to Little Wembley, Josh, who can play either in defence or midfield, had spent 18 months as a Chevvie following his move to Marley from Bacup Borough in the summer of 2022.
During his first spell with the club, the popular character had made 63 appearances for Steeton, scoring one goal and contributing three assists.
Speaking of his decision to re-join Steeton, Walne said: “It’s good to be back.
“I had a good few offer but sometimes it is not always about the team, the league, or the position.
“It is about enjoying your football and playing with a smile on your face.
“When I was last at Steeton, I played my best football and I want to get back to that.
“I am really lloking forward to the rest of the season and seeing where we can finish.”
