Faris Khan Joins The Chevvies

STEETON are today delighted to announce the signing of Faris Khan.

Khan arrived at Marley Stadium last Friday and made his debut with a Man of the Match performance in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Ashton Athletic.

With both Kyle Hancock and Toby Cunningham departing the club during the last fortnight, the midfielder provides a much-needed boost in the position for manager Roy Mason as the season progresses from a hectic August schedule.

Born in Bradford of English-Pakistani descent, his impressive performances as a youngster with Futsal FC United earned him a scholarship with Sheffield Wednesday.

Developing a reputation as a fleet-footed attacking midfielder who can also play in attack, Faris would be released from Hillsborough but would remain in South Yorkshire and sign with Doncaster Rovers.

Impressing at the EcoPower Stadium in their academy side with a number of eye-catching goals and assists, he would be rewarded with a first team opportunity away at Lincoln City in the group stages of the EFL Trophy.

No further opportunities would be presented, and Khan would depart Doncaster upon the expiration of his contract.

Returning home to Bradford, the midfielder signed with Eccleshill United for the 2023/24 campaign.

Featuring for both the first team and Under-19’s side for the Eagles, the youngster continued his development and opted to remain with Lee Elam’s team for this season.

However, opportunities would be limited and Mason acted quickly to bring Khan across the postal district at to Marley Stadium.

Faris is available to sponsor for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, if you would be interested in sponsoring Faris then please contact the club.
