Oxenhope Trio Joins The Chevvies

STEETON are today delighted to announce the signings of Alfie Dowden, Nathan Storton, and Harvey Kavanagh.

The trio all arrive at Marley Stadium ahead of the new campaign having joined us from local Step 7 outfit Oxenhope Recreation.

Dowden is a left sided midfield player and is seen as a direct replacement for the outgoing Lewis Gartland.

He comes to us highly recommended, and highly rated, for his time with Oxenhope during their recent success in the amateur game pyramid and local cup competitions.

Impressing during pre-season, Alfie was on the scoresheet in our 3-2 victory over Silsden Whitestar in our final friendly.

Storton is a defender who adds more depth for Roy Mason’s backline that was at times depleted last season by injury and suspension.

Another stalwart of the Oxenhope side during their recent rise to Step 7 whilst also tasting regular cup success, the step up to semi-professional football should prove no challenge for the defender.

Nathan is kindly sponsored by Whiteghyll LTD.

The final of the trio is no stranger to the Steeton.

Kavanagh, a central midfielder by trade, returns to Marley Stadium for a second spell with the club having previously spent two seasons with the club’s first team following our promotion to the semi-professional game.

A player that the club has kept an interest in following his departure to the local game at Step 7, Mason has moved quickly this summer to seal his return.

Harvey has featured regularly during pre-season and will be looking to cement a spot in the side for the forthcoming campaign.

Both Alfie and Harvey are still available for sponsorship for the 2026/27 season.

If you would be interested in sponsoring either of these players, please contact the club directly or manager Roy Mason.
