Steeton 3 Oxenhope 0
Steeton progressed into the quarter final of the County Cup with a 3-0 victory over local rivals Oxenhope. Steeton took the lead after Andy Holden's shot cannoned of Ben White and Sam Lee into the bottom corner.
Lee Reilly latched onto Phil Rishton's long kick to double The Chevrons lead before the visitors were reduced to ten men as Liam McNicol was shown straight red card following a challenge on Damien Whiteoak.
Andy King danced through Oxenhope's defence before striking a superb third goal. It could have been worse for the visitors as Graham Holmes went close late on and Michael Rhodes' free kick struck the underside of the crossbar.
Steeton now face Brighouse Town reserves in the quarter finals next week. But will have to progress without Whiteoak who suffered a broken fibula it was revealed this morning.
