Steeton 0 Ovenden 0

Mon 31 Aug 2015

With a number of key players missing, Steeton viewed this as a point gained. The Chevrons were missing six players either through injury & holidays. Lee Barker turned in a man of the match performance despite playing the whole second half with a tight hamstring. Nicky McNally struck the underside of the bar as Steeton almost won it, however a minute later the visitors also hit the bar as they looked to steal all three points. In the end a point a piece was a fair result.

The reserves, who were also depleted had Trevor Harding and Josh Huntley on target as they went 2-1 up against Dram. With Andy Howland making his debut for Steeton he added a bit of experience up front. But the depleted numbers couldn't hang on and Dram rattled in five without reply to win 6-2.

Steeton 1 Salts 3

Thu 27 Aug 2015

It was a night to forget for Steeton as Luke Rhodes put Salts 2-0 within the first twenty minutes last night. A Joe Pleasance strike fifteen minutes from time killed the game and despite a great late strike from Andy King there was not much cheer at Summerhill Lane as the visitors recorded a 3-1 victory.

Manager, Roy Mason was left frustrated with the performance and will this week step up his efforts to bring in an assistant manager.

The reeseves got their season off to a great start with a 4-2 win at Thornes FC. A brace from Mark McGee and a Kyle Fox header adeed to a great strike from Greig Hudson.
