Steeton produced a great performance to in on the second defeat of the season to league leaders, Huddersfield YMCA. Kyle Fox and a brace from Lee Reilly ensured that Steeton took the points.
This is followed on from Saturday's 1-1 draw with Halifax Irish, where the visitors early second half strike cancelled out Lee Reilys opener.
The reserves went down to a strong Newsome side on Saturday, losing 6-0
Steeton progressed to the league cup semi final with a hard fought 2-1 win over Campion. Steeton took the lead ten minutes into the second half when Andy Holden struck following a defensive mix up and despite the set back of Campion levelling, Andy Briggs struck the winner with seven minutes remaining to give Steeton a place in the final.

It was a bad weekend of results as both teams lost on Saturday.
The first team went down to a heavy 5-0 defeat at the hands of Lepton Highlanders. Two crucial individual mistakes, plus keeper, Wayne Mahomet having to go off at half time did not help the cause.
The reserves went down 2-1 at Wibsey. Aaron Abbas scored Steeton's goal in the second half.
Michael Rhodes struck a 90th minute leveller in a game that Steeton dominated and looked like a host of missed chances would cost us.
Joe Jagger struck an unstoppable free kick in the first five minutes and try as they might it looked as if luck wasn't on the side of The Chevrons, especially when the visiting keeper made a world class save from Ben Clarkson. From the resulting corner Rhodes stabbed home from close range.
The reserves had a great 4-3 win at Ventus Yeadon. Goals from Mark McGee, Ross Chapman, Jack Morrall and Aaron Abass saw the points return home.
