U19's Go Down to Ossett

Wed 06 Sep 2017

The U19's went down 3-1 to last years champions, Ossett Albion.

Freddie Binns put Steeton ahead in the first half and we then had a couple of chances to increase our lead, however these were not taken and three second half goals saw the visitors take all three points.

However there were a lot of positives with five 16 year olds in the squad.

Wins for both teams

Tue 05 Sep 2017

A brace from Alex Yates and Tom Sowerbutts saw us through to the second round of the league cup following a 5-2 win on Saturday over Wakefield City.

Joe Park got the other goal in a game that we had to come back from 1-0 down in.

The reserves had a great 2-1 win at Unita. Goals from Will Knight and Ben Sutcliffe proved to be enough to take all three points.

Campion 3 Steeton 0

Wed 30 Aug 2017

It was a first half to forget for Steeton who were well below par and were a bit lucky to only come in 2-0 down after a lack lustre first 45 minutes saw Campion breacj the Steeton defence twice as well as hitting the post and Wayne Mahomet making a couple of vital saves.

The second half was much better, but Steeton never really looked like scoring and a late Campion goal rubbed salt into the wounds.
