Steeton went down 3-0 to leaders Newsome, goals from Steven Marshall. Kitson Gayle and Wayne Shooter did the damage in a game where Steeton felt that they were on the wrong end of some key decisions.

The Reserve game was abandoned after 60 minutes. Whilst leading 3-0 through Ben Clarkson 2 and Will Knight. A memeber of the Thornton Utd coaching staff was involved in an incident with a Steeton player and the referee decided enough was enough.

The U18's were 8-0 winners over Calverley. Ben Clarkson (4), Toby Jeffrey, Freddie Binns, Brandon Chiwara and Alex Briggs got the goals.

It was a County Cup Treble as all three teams progressed.

Andy Briggs hit a brace and Lee Reilly added another in the first teams 3-2 win at Headingley. The home side also missed two first half penalties.

The reserves received a bye following a late withdrawl from Bradford Gateway.

The U18's progressed with a 7-1 win over Calverley United. Freddie Binns stuck a hatrick whilst Ben Clarkson and Toby Jeffrey both hit a brace.

Wins For All 3 Teams

It was a good weekend with all three teams winning their games.

The first team won 2-0 away at Salts to leapfrog them in the league. First half strikes from Andy Briggs and Alistair Morgan ensured that the three points returned to Summerhill Lane

The Reserves moved up a place with a 4-2 win over Hunsworth. Ben Crispin, Ben Clarkson, Greig Hudson and Kyle Fox were on target.

The U18's powered past Eccleshill with a 9-0 victory. Ben Clarkson struck at hat-trick. Toby Jeffries (2), Darragh Davy Burke, Freddie Binns, Miles Henry and Jacob Bryceland all chipped in with further strikes.

The reserves and U18's both progressed in the County Cups this weekend.

The reserves beat Horsforth 3-1 with goals from Will Knight, Andy Briggs and Olly Whitham.

The Under 18's beat Pudsey 5-2 with goals from Ben Clarkson 2, Freddie Binns 2 and Brandon Chawira.
